About the Sarasota Classic Car Museum

The Sarasota Classic Car Museum is the second oldest antique car museum in the United States and showcases a wild variety of vintage model cars. A visit to this museum will yield an entire history if what the museum considers to be mankind’s most impressive invention, the automobile. It’s here that guests will have the opportunity to see vehicles found nowhere else in the world, making this museum a must-see for all those vacationing in Sarasota, Florida. 

With seventy-five vehicles on display, it’s a wonder where to start in this amazing museum. Here, the first automobile manufacturers are commemorated and remembered, along with the history of the development of this machine. Over time, and as guests observe in the vehicles exhibited, the machinery within each automobile evolved and adapted, eventually bringing cars to where they are today. 

Events are frequently hosted at this museum. Many of these events include musical performances, as seen in the following upcoming events: Country Oldies starring Bobby Palermo, The Dukes, and a Michael Jackson Tribute. Often times, the Museum hosts stand-up comedy shows and impersonator events, making this a spectacular place to visit while in the area.  

Located across the street from the Asolo Repertory Theatre, the Sarasota Classic Car Museum is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Sunday. General admission into the museum is $12.85 for adults, $10.85 for Senior Citizens, and $7.25 for children. Children under the age of 5 may enter for absolutely free.
